Sound forge pro mac shuts off when saving

I know there are other editors out there, but not that many for Mac (as many Sound Forge users who migrate to Mac testify,) theres still nothing like Sound Forge.Дon't get me wrong in all the years that I have used Sequencers, and DAW's for Audio - Reaper has so many things that are the closest I know to Sound Forge and its exciting. NET frameworks just to have a PC side for SF. Now for the last 5 years, I'm Mac only using an i7 MBP which flies with Reaper, but I have to install Parallels, and all the Sony. Reaper worked great with this as an editor on my old PC. The I discover Reaper, and it works brilliantly (if not better!) than Acid Pro which is itself a Sony product!! I have tried Logic, Ableton and as DAW's progressed, I could never get my head around the rendering and re-rendering to 'flatten' a file, as SF just let you work on the file itself!

I always stuck with these two as an Editor and Multi-tracker, as it covered most bases and was a cheap version of Pro tools for me. I've used Sound Forge for years and love its simplicity, and as i grew up with this with my first forays into Audio (from Atari Cubase v2!) I really find I can get anything done with it as a surgical tool for morphing etc along side (back in the erm. Bascially, its another ask, along with the pile of others for Area Selection.
